Google Talk

Thursday, August 25th, 2005

The lonely side of beta testing brand new chat software is that I don’t have anyone to talk to. Someone else download Google Talk and send a message to my Gmail username. (The name I always use + first four positive digits of the Fibonacci Sequence)@gmail.com.

The Bright Side

Monday, August 15th, 2005

The only benefit I can find to the raising gas prices, is that I am no longer required to stand outside nearly as long to pump $20 worth of gas into the car. That’s kinda good, isn’t it?

OpenId for Wordpress

Saturday, August 13th, 2005

Scatman Dan has released an OpenId plugin (sorta) for Wordpress. It’s still really early beta, and not quite working right for me, but I’ll finally be able to allow Livejournal users to use their own id’s to leave comments here.

One note: I tried messing with one of his RegEx’s, and I kept breaking the page. If you see just a white screen in the next few days… I’m working on it.

Thursday, August 11th, 2005

Is it wrong to want to re-write half the Wordpress files in my style of coding so I can read them better?

Nested Comments

Wednesday, August 10th, 2005

All it really takes is a quick Google search to turn the crappy comment system that comes with Wordpress into a spiffy nested comment system. Thank you, Brian’s Threaded Comments!

If you have a del.icio.us account, give me the link. I’m thinking of adding a special folder in Newsgator just for links.

Down with Satan

Thursday, August 4th, 2005

Does directing hate, and scorn, and fear towards Satan give him strength? Does speaking of his wickedness, and preaching of the fires of hell, and attributing the souls of all the day’s top musicians empower Satan in the same way that I assume praising God gives him strength. If we view everything in the world that we don’t agree with as the direct influence of Satan, we are creating a much more powerfull nemesis than we really want to deal with.
