I’m used to people confusing terms when they talk to me at work, that’s why I usually won’t correct them when they say that they are having problems with their DSL. I’m sure I could inform them that they actually have a Cable Modem, but what’s the point? That’s why I found it rather odd when the customer, who had VOIP service through us, couldn’t find the coaxial in port on their modem. Turns out they had DSL after all. They hung up to call SBC.
